Press the PC cursor TWICE when you encounter this search edit. This modification was introduced into JAWS16 (latest) so as to prevent people exiting Forms Mode by accidentally pressing the PC cursor. Why it was a problem that required that 'solution', I don't know.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] GOOGLE KEEPS POPPING UP ON INTERNET EXPLORER WEB PAGE

I am using Windows 7 with Internet Explorer version 11with JAWS 16 (just
upgraded).

My Home Page is GOOGGLE which I use extensively.

My problem is that whenever I enter a new screen on the Internet and down
arrow several times GOOGLE pops up with a list of formerly used search
terms. It is hard to get out of this screen and I often have to F4 out and
start over again.

I find GOOGLE very useful, but I want to choose when I need it. I try
minimizing USING the down-arrow KEY but often forget when exploring an
unfamiliar WEB Page.

How can I prevent this?
