Hi Ted,

After running the analysis in disk cleanup & the list appears, to delete old
Windows updates isn't listed as Old Windows Updates, it's just Windows
Updates. It will say something like Windows Updates 672 MB or 1.2 GB. If
you check this option to delete, the mentioned amount of disk space will be
freed up affter deleteing the old Windows updates.
Take Care.
Mike

I ran it last night. I didn't see any old Windows updates, but my Internet
access has been so quirky recently I wasn't shocked. It was a method I had
not used before, and I thought it pretty slick

Hi Mario,

On my computer, after pressing the spacebar on the, Disk Cleanup Button, &
the disk analysis is completed a list is displayed showing the things you
mentioned, & 1 more tab is the button for Description of the files you will
be deleting. I've never used the, Description View Files, button before so,
when we get back home I'll do these steps on another computer to see what
this button is all about & get back to you.
Take care.

Mike, in the disk cleanup option of my hard drive properties, I don't
see any "old Windows updates" item, but if I tab once beyond this list
to "view files"
and activate it, another list appears with "old windows updates" plus
additional items that did not appear in the first list, like service
pack backup files 306 KB, setup logs 3.45 KB, windows cleanup 1.9 GB,
system queued error files 4.57 KB.

and Pam's question was is, it, safe, to cleanup (delete) old windows
updates? in addition, is it safe to cleanup (delete) the items I mentioned?

your and other input from others are appreciated, calling Carlos,
Joseph, the other Mike, etc.
