When I installed Office 2013 about a year an a half.
I believe theere Was an option to download MS 1.
I had to create a new username @outlook.com and a password to enter the MS 1
cloud.
I didn't had to fiddle with anything to join at the time.
If, I remember, it gave me 7 gigs of storage.
Besides having your personal space,
You can create links and store stuff to share with your friends to enter
your cloud, better than dropbox and more secure.
I honestly have not mess with it much,because of time and learning things
from this club.

although it is too late to do any installing. My question is how usable is

Note there is one of those graphic things with stuff for you to type in
the
box before the sign up process will complete. Annoying but not impossible.
There is an audio option but fortunately my wife was able to figure out
the
letters.
I just have no desire to fiddle with such things when there are so many
more
things in life to worry about like is my ice cream supply stocked or not.
