Lennie, I have XP, so getting 10 does not apply to me, plan to get new computer after Christmas. My husband, however has 8.1. He got a notification regarding 10, filled in some kind of fields, not much to it, so that he is in line for it, as it were. As I understand it, 7, 8, and 8.1 will have the option to get 10 for its first year. I don't know why you wouldn't have that information yet.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] reserving windows 10

My grandson’s computer is in a repair shop. A short in his video card wiped
out the power supply, mother board, intel I5 processor and hard drive.
They just rebuilt it and are reserving windows 10 for him. I inquired on how
you go about that and was told that there should be something in my system
tray. There is nothing there to reserve a copy. from what I understand by
reserving you can later get a full version as opposed to an update. I really
would like to take that course not sure where to look.
