Printing direct from web pages can be hit-and-miss, even if IE is already set up with the printer as default.
Unless the web page has its own "Print" button, often a simple Ctrl-P will result in less-than-expected results. One result is that the headers and footers will only print, or that some text on the page prints while others will not. Perhaps what is being "seen" is graphics, which may not be treated as printable by the drivers. One way around this is to select the entire web page with Ctrl+A and then copy with Ctrl+C. Then open Notepad and paste into the blank area. Formatting may be messed up, but often this is the most reliable way to first see what will be printed and then to print.
