moving songs or books*mp3* to phone via itunes:

There are some parts of this I haven’t completely figured out yet, such
as creating a play list and putting music into just that list, but I can try
and give you some steps on getting music from your PC to your phone.

First of all you will need to have Itunes installed on your PC.

Assuming you already have the music you want to add to your Iphone on your PC
somewhere, you will need to find that music and copy it to the clipboard.

You can do individual files or an entire folder.

Now go to your Itunes folder on your PC. For Windows 7 that folder is located
on the C drive, then users, then your folder for your data. Mine is just
called Denny, but it will depend on what your’s is set up as. It could be
owner, your name or even something entirely different.

Next go to My music, then to, ITunes, then to ITune Media.

Here you will find a folder called, automatically add to ITunes.

Open that folder and then paste the content of the clipboard here.

You will notice that the songs you paste here will disappear and don’t worry,
they are supposed to.

You can go back and copy more into this folder as many times as you want, just
don’t put more in here than your phone can handle.

Next you will want to open ITunes from the desk top.

Give it a few minutes to load everything and your will hear a tone of some sort
when it is finished.

There may be some keyboard commands to accomplish these next steps quicker, but
I’m not sure what they are.

Begin pressing your tab key until you hear, IPhone.

Just before this will be, songs, Albums, Artists, genres and play lists.

When you get to IPhone press your spacebar and it should say your phone name.
Mine says, Denny’s IPhone.

Start tabbing again and you should hear, summary, checked. Keep tabbing until
you hear, music and press your spacebar to check it.

Start tabbing again and you will eventually hear, sync entire music library and
most likely it will be checked.

Keep tabbing until you hear, sync button.

Before you get to the sync button you will hear some check boxes that will say
include music videos and voice memos. I just leave these unchecked.

You will also hear, audio and the amount of audio you have such as 2.2 gig or
whatever. You’ll also hear photos, apps and other. You will also hear how
much free space you have on your phone.

The next time you press your tab key it should say, sync button. Press your
spacebar and it will begin moving your music to your IPhone.

Depending on how much music you are moving, it may take a while.

When you hear the tone that it is finished tab to the done button and press
your spacebar.

There may be a better way of doing this but it’s the only way I know of.

You can also put your ring tones on this way. Just select tones instead of
music.

Just remember that the ring tones need to be in m4r format and not mp3. They
also need to be no more than 30 seconds in length.
