Do you have a default.jkm in your user folder? If this is the case then you may want to remove it or just rename it for the time being and see if your problem goes away. If you modified the jfw supplied default.jkm then the repair should have fixed the issue. So, I did a repair on the current v16 hoping that would put back the activate searchbox (ctrl e) keystroke. It did not work.
