when the device is plugged in on window's 7 at least, i open with window's
explorer. i did not format the device. it did suggest i remove a file and i did
that. it asked me if i wanted to backup and i tap on ok, it backs up an image
on the seagate. that is all there is to it.
there's another program you might like better that is I believe if it's still
up on David's web site called, Karen's Repulator, hmmm that sounds almost
right, replicator, think that's it,lol
it is very jaws friendly.

it doesn't have software. there was one file that my Mac stated was needed to
be removed, so I did that. it's a plug and play or backup device, no software
is installed. drivers maybe for the USB slot you plug it into, but I have a HUB
that was already setup to allow both on my Mac and my Window's laptop running
window's 7.

I just purchased a Seagate 500/gb for backup. It is totally accessible
    bothon Window's and Mac systems.

      Subject: [JAWS-Users] Backup software

Just purchased a Surface 4 Pro, and I'm wanting to back it up regularly.
    I
have used Carbonite on my previous laptop and at other times Windows
    File
History. I'm also looking to replace an external USB drive. Does
    anyone
know if the software that comes with the Western Digital or Seagate
    drives
is accessible. Another possibility is to purchase a new router, I've
looked at the NetGear Night hawk which also includes backup software,
    but
      again the same question.

If anyone has any information on any of the above, it would be greatly
appreciated...or if they have found another solution that is accessible
      with Jaws. Using Jaws 17.
