You post no directions for how to locate You tube's volume control because they don't exist in accessible form. This is where Accessible YouTube can come in useful. See the message I just posted. Admittedly, it's inconsistent, but volume and mute controls are hard to find on the regular YouTube website.
I rarely use Accessible YouTube because, perhaps like you, I want website designers to make their regular websites fully accessible. Then, press the applications key and press enter on the first option and a window will come up so that you can adjust volume and many other settings dealing with the sound card and speakers. If you do that, the volume of the video will take care of itself.
