Hi, Robin.

To address your last questions first, you can create a new profile in the JAWS
Voices dialogs that retains what you already have but that adds features. For
example, in a given profile, you can select a specific "person" for certain
tasks, such as one for the PC cursor and another for the JAWS cursor. You can
also select the rate at which that person speaks.

I think the easiest way to get what you want is to start from your existing
default and tab through the Voice Adjustment dialog options. You'll see the
ones I mention. In this case, choose a "person" to speak the voice you want to
verbalize messages and select the rate. Then when you arrive at "save,"
consider giving the resulting profile a new name. this way you don't lose your
settings in the old profile but can test how the new settings sound with the
new profile.

As for re-hearing messages, one technique that often works is to press the
numpad's left mouse button twice quickly. When you mention "history," are you
referring to the JAWS layered command for the last several (one hundred?)
verbalizations? If not, try it. I've found it rarely works for me. It's amazing
how much stuff gets said in a very short time.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] ARIA and JAWS

Folks, in an ARIA event when a message is spoken via ARIA it is unexpected. So,
is there a JAWS key to repeat that ARIA message other than going through
"history" to get it?

Is there a theme or way to change the voice and rate of that voice so it is
different than that we use for regular JAWS use? It would be helpful if we can
have the ARIA message come up with a voice and rate of speed of our choosing
that would be different then the default JAWS boice we are using.

If these are not part of the JAWS package can it be something Freedom can
consider in future upgrades?
