With all do respect, everyone is simply trying to assist and the CTRL alt v also allows you to coppy formatted text as is, unformatted text and html. Since you are pasting from the web, and want to preserve the formatting, I would select that option, the html option to see if that'll meet your expectation.
If unsuccessful, I'd say just do it using IE since IE works in this case, and not ff. If firefox is not working for you and you are more successful completing this task, why stick to using ie for this task.
