Gene has already explained what cross posting is, and in your case who has never done such a thing don't worry about it. The rule of thumb is simply if you see your own messages make it to the list then you are not guilty.

David and Rick,

Please help remind me, a non-moderator type of person, just what
cross-posting is? That might help if there are some on the list who actually
have no idea they are causing a problem.

I would also like to add on to what Rick has stated that this is becoming
very tiresome to me, so much so that the parties in question will be removed
if they continue their cross posting practices.

The fact is no matter who would try and cross post a message it would get
held for approval.

That means who ever of the three of us gets to it first has to open and read
the message from Mailman as to why the message is being moderated. Then the
next step is to approve or deny it. This takes some time especially when a
person sends out four or five messages all cross posted.

I read every message that comes across this list and some days that gets to
be quite a task, but it is important to make sure things are going as they
should. I don't mind that, it's just this extra work of always having to
kick messages is got to stop.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Recently we have encountered quite a few messages held for approval,
due to cross-posting.
If you are not seeing your messages post to the list, this may be the cause.
Please refer to the List Guidelines for the proper posting procedure.

You don't have to be crazy to run a list like this, but it does help.
