Hi Mike,

Thanks for the feedback. The question I posed is because I assisted someone
else in installing the latest version of Malwarebytes and it simply felt
"different." In doing a bit more research regarding the installation of the
free version, while it used to be possible to opt out of the trial
full-version, it appears this is no longer an option and, if it works as
advertised, the full version will stop after 14 days and will automatically
switch to the free version. My hope is that the transition to the free
version will be seamless. As for accessibility, I'm still trying to figure
that one out.

Thanks,

Mauricio

Hi Mauricio,

The MWB 1.75 version is funtionable, but I don't believe it can get access
to all the latest definition updates, , some maybe most at best. Also, if
you run the free version of 1.75 I don't think you can stop it from program
updating. It's been a long time since I've used MWB 1.75, but I was running
the Pro version, & could control / stop the program from updating, & just
let the definitions update.
Take care.
Mike

Hi All,

Although the version of MalWareBytes on the Programs page of the JAWS-Users
website is 1.75, does it or will it still have access to the most current
malware definitions? Is it only the interface that is different and will it
eventually prompt to be updated to the most current version? I recently
visited ninite.com to download and install Malwarebytes 3.0 but it is a bit
different and I'm not sure if this is the way to go. What really concerned
me is that with the 2.1 version and earlier, one could choose whether to
allow the trial full version or not; this was not an option with the version
found on ninite.com.
