Hi Mauricio, That's too bad you're having so many problems with MWB 3.0, because it is an excellent program. If you could find a free version of the MWB 2.2 program that 1 would be a more accessible & easier version to use, but with the free versions you can't stop program updating, so that would update you to the latest version sometime in the future. Take care. Hi Mike, A new development: After installing the latest version of Malwarebytes with the trial full version still enabled, I was no longer able to go online with either Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. When I would launch either browser, because I have some residual vision, I was able to notice a small window open up at the bottom left of the screen. I could not Alt+Tab to it and it went away after a few seconds. Preparing to deal with it, I used the JAWS command of Insert+F10 to list running applications immediately after the small window would appear and had just enough time to read that Malwarebytes blocked a script from running, at least I believe it said "script." I just recently uninstalled MacAfee and switched to Defender and rarely use the web for more than online banking and Amazon so feel fairly confident that I have no malicious critters on my computer. After uninstalling the new Malwarebytes, all works as it should. By the way, I ran Malwarebytes last night prior to uninstalling today and it found absolutely nothing. I'm not sure if I will give it another try or not but thought I would share my recent experience. I'm one of those people that distinguishes differences between being accessible, & being able to navigate programs. MWB 2.2 is much more accessible with Jaws, & I have a tutorial that my sighted wife helped me write for accessing those damn spin boxes that need to be accessed when trying to schedule a scan or scheduling updating. Anyways, if you can possibly get the free version of MWB 2.2 you'll be much better off than attempting to use MWB 3.0. Take care. The question I posed is because I assisted someone else in installing the latest version of Malwarebytes and it simply felt "different." In doing a bit more research regarding the installation of the free version, while it used to be possible to opt out of the trial full-version, it appears this is no longer an option and, if it works as advertised, the full version will stop after 14 days and will automatically switch to the free version. My hope is that the transition to the free version will be seamless. As for accessibility, I'm still trying to figure that one out. Also, if you run the free version of 1.75 I don't think you can stop it from program updating. It's been a long time since I've used MWB 1.75, but I was running the Pro version, & could control / stop the program from updating, & just let the definitions update. Take care. Is it only the interface that is different and will it eventually prompt to be updated to the most current version? I recently visited ninite.com to download and install Malwarebytes 3.0 but it is a bit different and I'm not sure if this is the way to go. What really concerned me is that with the 2.1 version and earlier, one could choose whether to allow the trial full version or not; this was not an option with the version found on ninite.com.
