Hi Bill, Have you tried using your Jaws cursor to see if there is anything on the screen.
Sometimes I notice that Jaws won't read something until I put focus on the window with the Jaws cursor and left clicking on the text that is within the window. Otherwise, try restarting Jaws with a hotkey, and when you bring it back up, make sure you are in the Word window you are trying to read.
