Bill,
I need to edit my last post I made a mistake.
Where I said " There is a edit box and use tab to get to the section that
asks, save
as (blank) then down arrow to get to the Doc. Selection" I should have
said, you will be prompted for a file name, complete that THE use tab to
"save as file type" arrow to doc. For documents. Then click okay
Sorry for the confusion

Bill,
It's the little pop up box that appears when you try and save or
name a file, or "save as" that appears when you open up a file and then edit
it. There is a edit box and use tab to get to the section that asks, save
as (blank) then down arrow to get to the Doc. selection

Bob, how do I determine that, and then how do I change it?

Hello Bill,
When you try to open the file that you saved, are you making sure
the "File type" in the box is selected to the corresponding file type as you
are trying to open?

Subject: [jaws-users] word 2003 problem
Hi List,
I have a perplexing problem: I had a file in my documents, it was saved
there. I tried to copy it into a Word 2003 file. The name of the file now
appears, but when I enter it I can read nothing. It's as if it were empty.
I wonder if perhaps I saved it using some other type of text that Jaws won't
read. I don't know how to find out, or if there is a way I can change it to
where I can read it. I would hate it if the file is gone for good. I don't
have anyone around who can tell me if there's anything on the screen or not.
Maybe I can find that out later, but I'm hoping maybe someone out there can
help me.
Bill Benson
