Yes, Walt, in fact Eric Damrey stated that in the interview on Main MEnu, and said he hoped to have updates about every 6 weeks. There has always been a JAWS version upgrade every year about this time with a minor update to that new version in the spring. Now that the automatic update feature is available, I strongly suspect that we'll see more frequent updates. There will have to be an update to support the Microsoft Vista operating system when it becomes available after the first of the year and I'm sure that will be an automatic update that can simply be downloaded and installed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Gallik" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "JAWS Users Yahoo Group" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, November 18, 2006 2:51 PM Subject: [jaws-users] JAWS 8.0 Deployment I suspect that Freedom Scientific felt some urgency because of the significant changes Microsoft has implemented with Internet Explorer. No doubt FS would have liked a bit more time to interface with such major changes, but all in all I don't find anything glaringly objectionable about Version 8.0 -- at least to this point. ---------------- Bill Gallik Visit the JAWS Users list home page at: http://www.jaws-users.com For a complete list of email commands pertaining to the JAWS Users List send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit the new archives page at the following address http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Yahoo!
