Hi Becky,

It's the same process in any application. insert+num roe 0, then,
control+s. After you hear compile complete you can alt+f4 out of the script
manager. I hope it improves things for you.

Take care,
Lois

Hi Lois.
Would you please give the steps for recompiling scripts? I haven't done
that in a long time. I am having similar problems, plus sometimes when I
open a document JAWS just sits there and says nothing. JAWS 8 does not seem
to have fixed my focus problems.

I have been experiencing the same problem. I just recompiled the scripts
in
outlook express, and it's made a huge difference. It's working better than
  ever.

  Take care,
  Lois

I am using jaws 8.0 and windows XP. Since installing jaws 8.0, jaws is
slow
in reading e-mail after pressing enter key. I have checked my settings
several times but haven't come up with solution. I would appreciate any
  suggestions.

  Best wishes,

  FRED W4HC
