Sounds strange for me. By intuition,
1) it should be possible further local optimization
(however, the actual gain may appear to be minor)
2) less JNDI entries to propagate to remote machines - also should
make it work faster.
Well, forget it:
you don't need luck, you probably don't need intuition :-)
