Right,  I agree this is not what we want.  You shouldn't have to build all 
standalone projects to build JBAS.  Instead, the build script should just 
download the 20-50 jar files for you.

Ok, this makes sense.  I agree that a developer should be able to check out 
specific dependencies and use the build artifacts from source rather than the 
downloaded binaries.
