I tried editing run.sh to add ../lib/xerces.jar to the CLASSPATH before
any of the other entries are made. That didn't work.
I tried editing jboss.conf like this:
Original:
<MLET CODE = "org.jboss.deployment.J2eeDeployer"
ARCHIVE="jboss.jar,../xml.jar"
CODEBASE="../../lib/ext/">
My version:
<MLET CODE = "org.jboss.deployment.J2eeDeployer"
ARCHIVE="jboss.jar,../xerces.jar,../xml.jar"
CODEBASE="../../lib/ext/">
This didn't seem to affect the order of classloading.
The only way I found to fix this was to delete
tomcat3.2b7/lib/parser.jar (which wasn't being used anyways, as the
classes were apparently being loaded from jboss-2.0FINAL/lib/xml.jar)
and then modify xml.jar to remove org/* and leave only the com.sun.*
classes. Now it loads org.w3c.* and org.xml.* from the xerces jar, and
SOAP doesn't crash trying to access namespace functions on org.w3c.*
classes. Superficially, it doesn't appear to have affected stability,
yet...
Comments? Suggestions?
