Ok,
moving the forums is a necessity and will benefit the project in the long
run.
However before we do so I would like to get precise feedback on performance.
It is not a machine problem as the load from the logs never goes above 0.1
and there on average 80%-90% cpu free.
For me the stuff is blazingly fast, like blazing fast, always under 1s for
complex pages. It seems that for others there are speed issues in certain
parts of the forum, I have heard login in and certain posts.
Can I ask you to send us a brief account of where you see slow downs if at
all? If it is plain fast for you as it is for me, do send an email as well
:).
Is it mysqld that makes the stuff slow down?
I don't want this thread to degenerate in a whining competition on "buuaaaah
I don't like web-forums" (and for you guys the good news is that we will
offer a News gateway as well).
