[JBoss-user] Primary Key Generation Strategies

Hi all,   There has been much discussion on database and container independent primary key generation strategies. I've been using the first strategy in Floyd Marinescu's book   ftp://www6.software.ibm.com/software/developer/library/j-ejbdesign.pdf   but have been getting transaction roll-back exceptions. I've also read the discussion on the server side about it http://www.theserverside.com/discussion/thread.jsp?thread_id=1995    This does seem to be a simple thing and I don't want to reinvent the wheel.   Any suggestions?   Brian
