Hi, thanks for your help. Seems like the -Xrs param did the job. We also started JBoss with nohup (on Solaris) before, but that didn't help as others had suggested.
One more question, though: What does -Xrs do, what does it stand for? Thanks, Bernie -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Tiago Ferraz Machado [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Gesendet: Mittwoch, 18. We used to start JBoss with nohup and after we closed the terminal, the JBoss shuts down. After some research, we discovered that the problem was with the JVM (we use 1.3.1_08). The solution was to add inside the run.sh: JAVA_OPTS= -Xrs Hope it helps... Problem is, when we cut the ISDN connection to the remote machine, JBoss immediately shuts itself down if there are no other users using JBoss on the remote machine. What does cause the shutdown? JBoss should stay alive, after we have started it on the remote machine, even if we temporarily cut the wire connection to that machine. We're on JBoss 3.0.5. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
