Hi,
after several personal requests on how I solved the Problems I posted
about previously, I'm posting the answer to the mailing list...
The JDE documentation says that jde2.1.6 works with the Java 1.2.2 VM
for Linux. After several tries to make it work, I set
jde-bug-vm-includes-jpda-p to nil and included the path to the
jpda.jar archive and it worked thereafter. Probably some other setting
in my .emacs have been wrong such that I could not use the internal
support and I would be happy to receive advice on that topic. No matter
what, however, at least it is working now...
