Hi, 

I know this annoying behaviour, too. In March 2007 there was a
discussion about semantic-idle.el, which could be the source of a
similar problem.

Meanwhile I'm acquainted to this annoying behaviour, but I also would
prefer a shorter time gap. Any help is welcome!
