Short Answer: "not really" Long Answer: The Jabber user ID (JID) (e.g. "[EMAIL PROTECTED]/work") is made up of three parts: the username (linuxwolf), host (outer-planes.net), and the resource (work). The username and resource are oft-times optional. The username and host is not case sensitive, but the resource is.
For some really good info, check out DJ's book "Programming Jabber". Hope this helps! -- Matt M.
