I've telnet:ed the server and I get an error, bad XML I think it was, 
witch was expected, how come I can't get a response when I do the same 
thing with my Java-program?!
The program just sits there and waits, nothing is returned from the server.
Please feed me some possible solutions or causes...something to help me.

2. Try telnet your.server 5222

Tried it and got a reply, gotta try some more.
