Hi, a college helped me and we found that the server I was connecting to doesn't end it's messages with a new line.
So when I tried to read the input line-by-line it didn't work properly.
Thanks anyway. :)

hi, do you use a jabber library? which library do you use? which xml parser do you use?
do you start the incoming data parser (or thelike) thread?
etc.

I've telnet:ed the server and I get an error, bad XML I think it was, witch was expected, how come I can't get a response when I do the same thing with my Java-program?!
The program just sits there and waits, nothing is returned from the
server.
Please feed me some possible solutions or causes...something to help me.

Hi, i'm really new to jabberprogramming and I was wondering what could
be the possible reasons when i'm trying to connect to a server and the
server doesn't reply, the connection code is good because when I

change

server to jabber.org it works.
I'm aware of the shortage of info, i'm just looking for possible causes.

1. Begin new thread instead of "Memory leak in jabberd 1.4.2"

Sorry about that, realized it after sending.

2. Try telnet your.server 5222

Tried it and got a reply, gotta try some more.
