How does a client do it?? Wouldn't it be on those same line??

What I have done is, I notify an Analyst when a Trouble Ticket has been
submitted by one of our FrontLine CSRs, they can be notified by
Email,Pager, or Jabber. However if there Jabber Client(Presence) is not
online, then I would like for it to send it to the next available Analyst.

I would think there should be a way since the clients do it to display the
status of the users.

Hmm .. I'm not entirely sure how you would do this with the jabber
protocol. Anyone that knows?
