This is due to that AWT requires a GUI to be present and available.

Subject: [jdjlist] How to read one GIF image file and convert it into java.awt.image.BufferedImage in javabean

Dear all,

Can you tell me how to read one gif image file and convert it into one BufferedImage object in javabean?
I like to convert one gif image to other format image in web application, it seemed that
java.awt.Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getImage(String filename) can not work properly in application server.

Any idea is appreciated.

Thanks in forward.
