Hmmm.... What about Delphi, which is Object Pascal and Visual Basic, which is Basic? I learned Pascal in college and it serverd me well later. It's actually a very good teaching language. The only difference between any programming language is just the syntax of the language. The logic and control structures are all the same. An if statement is an if statement, etc....
