That will have to be done by the users or intranet operators themselves -
these ooo-replies don't pass the JDJ-list server.

Some additional concepts from more "mature" lists:
a) their users are told to put larger sourcecodes onto their website and
just link to it.
b) since a long time ago newsreader software allows the folded/unfolded
display of a whole thread.
  Of course newer eMail clients (like Outlook Express 5) allow the same with
eMails having a similar subject line
  (and therefor deletion with one touch of a button if necessary).

BTW: you might not believe it : this list is much more tolerant than those !

The already mentioned rating concept seems to have worked well for web-based
catalogues of (Java or Flash)[TM] online games.

To reduce bouncing off-list discussions with the moderators:
Rejected eMails could be put onto a special JDJ hosted webpage for about a
week (sorted by subject).
The list gets a notification posting with the link(s) directly, every day or
even once a week only - or just an additional info-line in
Alan's more or less regular postings.
