It depends.Since the lack of documentation could be overcome by experiences,
someone out there might say ,"Hey , no problem.I still could use the app
server w/o a proper documentations" whilst some would said "Darn, I can't
understand what does the document said !".Sometimes because the document
was written by a programmer and not someone who specialise in technical
writing; we need to comproimise a bit.With some experience and a proper
guessing technique + troubleshooting technique, I believe some of us could
decipher what does the plain html guides a trying to convey.
I believe some of us might have read the document from a commercial
document and the free one, i.e JBoss.You could make a proper comparison than
I might do.
