Hi,
I didn't even get the original posting with the
.JPG attachment and I can't find it in my JDJLIST-subdirectory.
( I usually examine/scan the attachments of
postings - just for "fun" ; BTW: the attached visit-cards *.vcf sometimes had
syntax errors in them )
Years ago I had a weird experience with a .jpg or
.gif file ( not ".jpg.exe" or ".gif.exe" ! ) that I opened via Explorer :
the "index.htm" page that had been stored on the
same disk was automatically opened - perhaps via
an internal link-option in newer JPG/GIF image file formats.
At that time I thought of a wrongly interpretated
mouse-click , but as I listen to Tims remarks I begin to believe that there
might be additional content in newer JPEG/GIF files.
As most of us know : besides e.g. "GIF97" there are
several different/newer formats and with the huge popularity of the .JPG file
format there might be several
more "active" newer ones as well that are known (only) to the anti-virus software experts and
their products.
sincerely,
