Hi, I am also trying on linux sparc. I normally build using debian unstable with my own build of gcc-3.4 with visibility patches and blackdown j2sdk1.4.1. I tried with a build of gcc-4.0 from gcc.gnu.org and binary ant from apache.ant.org but ant does not work. I think you need to get ant working before trying configure. The ant manual says ant cannot be built with gcj so I dont know if ant meets the test to be free? Anyway ant from debian unstable also does not work for me with gcj. What I would like to do is build openoffice.org with free gcj but I do not have the know how to solve ant problems. Many thanks to Caolan for getting this ready, the isssues now seem to be mainly with the building tools. jim --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
