Padraig, The patch looks sane and you are not adding any new patches (just fixing one thats already there) you should probably just commit changes like these.
However, from your request its hard to know what the original patch was for without guessing from the patch name (looks like its a branding patch for our launch menu) and what the status of any fixes are to the community source if thats even relevant.
