Actually, that is your choice. You have taken the material (under license). Whether that is "modification of the source" (Apache then requires acknowledegement IIRC) or is an independent work, I don't know. You own your contribution regardless.

It's a general Apache question, although just at this moment, I can't see the answer on the web site.

I would say (I am a not a lawyer ...) that you own the translation copyright, you get to choose the license, good practice would be to acknowledge the original material whether required or not.

Let us know how it goes - we can link to it from the Jena website so that there is a navigation route to it.
