To repeat what Oleg has said in another thread, students have the freedom to adjust these ideas to their vision and interests. Once you have gone through the materials, let us know what you think. Feel free to ask more questions too. You can also prepare an application in the form of a google document and share it with the community. We have office hours on Wednesday where mentors and students are invited to meet and talk live on the hangout (see https://jenkins.io/projects/gsoc/#office-hours).
