Looks like this email thread combines 2 major subjects and the removal of JDK17 from Weekly.
I have no objection about the removal itself, but it has been "drowned" in this email thread. The weekly release 2.545 does feature the removal of JDK17 as per https://github.com/jenkinsci/jenkins/pull/26018, but it broke all the packaging as no specific discussion was made and no follow up where made on the impacts after merging the PR into the core's master branch.
