Hi, im not sure if i get you correctly, but have you tried a parametrized build to set a variable with your server and use this later ? Because the help description includes :
"The Build requires user input (this would be your server) which will be available during the build process." If i create such a paramter, i can echo him later at build step, did not try to work with him in a post build step. Only other reason i used this, was to trigger a different job and transmit this parameter. (Parameterized trigger Plugin) But again, im not sure if this is helpfull for a post Build step. Sry if im wasting your time.
