We also need some decision on the versioning of the bridges components.
I don't know when the Bridges subproject actually will be created which
would be responsible itself for the versioning. For now, the J2 team
and/or PMC (?) should determine it I guess.

Good point! The version for the portals bridges are now 0.1. We have 
several options:
--> tie it with the J2 release as long as they are a part of the J2 build
--> Once they are moved into their own project we could still use the 
same version as J2 since the bridges are tested with J2
--> start a new version schema

Any suggestions?
