First I am sorry for replying with same subject & body though I am little deviating from the main topic.
Yes I am also very much interested in information on the same lines. Michael Dalton, Could you please send the steps for how you configured MySQL with Jetspeed. I tried the step given in the link -- http://www.helmuth.net/mitel-sme/JetSpeed/jetspeed-howto.htm . And no success. Infact I found problem in importing data into the MySQL. Especially problem with column type as IDENTITY. Somehow using other tools I imported all the tables & data for them. But the portlets had problem in being displayed, just I am able to login. I am running jetspeed on Windows 2000, MySQL 4.0.17, Tomcat 4.1.18, jetspeed 1.4. If anybody is able to successfully import data into MySQL & integrated with jetspeed ? Please help me and send the appropriate scripts/steps also. Thanking all, Awaiting for positive replies, Prasad A Navalimath -----Original Message----- From: Dalton, Michael D [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 23 January, 2004 21:02 To: 'Jetspeed Users List' Subject: Jetspeed 1.4 deployment performance ? Does anyone have any good source of information regarding the performance of a fully deployed Jetspeed 1.4 configuration. My management has been asking for "numbers". I am looking for: 1) How many users can Jetspeed 1.4 handle. 2) Performance differences between Windows and UNIX boxes 3) Performance differences between Tomcat and other app servers. We are currently planning to deploy on Windows 2000 boxes and our users may top 5000. Possible usage at any one moment may be in the hundreds. 1) How much physical memory should our machines have? 2) Best load balanced configuration? Current plans are 2 boxes + 1 box for database. 3) Best database? Currently set up with mySQL. Any comments are appreciated.
