Hello flutists:   Could someone please explain to me off-line or  suggest a book on how to make the lovely vibrato on the flute?  I  especially like the way James Galway does it.    Zeyt Gezunt,   Mary

James Galway's vibrato is like mine - in classical music, not in klezmer. His air streem is fast and the vibrato is up "high" near the throat, but not called a throat vibrato, per se. That would be something different. See if my earlier explanation helps you achieve the classical sound.
