The new Government of South Sudan will be formed on strength and
qualifications, and not tribal representations according to President
Salva Kiir Mayardit.

Addressing a joint meeting between the SPLM Political Bureau members
and the SPLM Caucus of the Council of States in Juba on Friday, Kiir
asked them to elect a Speaker, a Deputy Speaker and a Chief Whip.

The President also urged the Council of the States to discourage
idleness among Sudanese youth, and contribute to the modernization of
the countryside.

Meanwhile the Speaker of the National Legislative Assembly James Wani
Igga, encouraged the law makers to enact relevant laws and monitor the
implementation of a decentralized system of governance.
