17-member committee formed to appoint Chief of Justice & Governor of
Central Bank

The National Assembly has formed a 17-member committee to discuss the
appointment of the Chief Justice, the Governor of the Central Bank and
his two deputies.

The caretaker minister of Parliamentary Affairs Michael Makuei brought
forth the names and CVs of the potential appointees before the
Parliament Monday morning.
The committee will deliberate on the CVs and report to the Assembly in
less than four days.
The National Assembly Speaker James Wani Igga urged the committee to
be fair in its selections.
The appointees will assume their duties only after parliamentary endorsement.
