Hi
So I've followed the steps in the install guide to get syslog working with
jffnms, yet I cant seem to get any messages into the event viewer. I run
tcpdump -n port 514 and I see messages coming in;

11:51:43.737372 172.31.249.105.4707 > 10.1.254.250.514:  udp 83
11:51:45.412250 172.31.249.105.4707 > 10.1.254.250.514:  udp 83
11:52:08.218958 172.31.249.105.4707 > 10.1.254.250.514:  udp 83
12:02:14.043500 172.31.249.105.4707 > 10.1.254.250.514:  udp 83

And I've got the following line in my syslog.conf file;

local*.*                %mysql -s localhost -u jffnms -p jffnms -d jffnms -t
syslog

Yet I don't see any messages within the event viewer. Is there someway to
simulate an syslog message for testing as I'm currently relying on the
router to generate messages...which could take a while. Any ideas. Thanks.
