I believe it is because windows does not have SNMP v.3 support in it's IP stack.  Only version 2 or 1 will work.

 

Javier mentioned this a while back I believe, and it is in the documentation somewhere.

Hello
I´m trying snmp v3 with jffnms. but I´m not getting traffic information,
I´m only getting info for interface status and so on, nothing for traffic,
in the poller logs, I get:

snmp_counter:input(.1.3....): No -> buffer.....
snmp_counter:inpackets(.1.3....): No -> buffer.....
snmp_counter:output(.1.3....): No -> buffer.....
snmp_counter:outpackets(.1.3....): No -> buffer.....

With snmp v1 works perfectly
Does anyone knows what can I be doing wrong??
