Yes, it's perfectly possible - I use JFFNMS to alert me if a certain link of
mine exceeds 10% utilisation and it works fine.

Unfortunately, unless you modify your polling interval to be 2 minutes,
every 5 minutes is the best you're going to get data for - and the alerts
will only come after 15 minutes {or however often you run the rrd_analyser
script}.

Works for me, though, and is one of the features of JFFNMS that made me
ditch Nagios in favour of it.

Is it possible to alert with an email for say link utilization or memory
used? 

So, I want to get an email if my T1/Frame-relay link is over 90% utilization
for over 2 minutes?

Or CPU utilization is over 70% for over 5 minutes...
