Hi Richard, I have seen this before, and it does sound like you have correctly pin pointed the problem as being a file permission issue. On Your Ubuntu box navigate into the rrd directory (on my Gentoo box its /var/www/localhost/htdocs/jffnms/rrd/ Then list the files with the permissions, "ls -l" will work. Look at the interfaces you have added recently (non working), and the original (working) looking for the owner and group permissions. If they are different then you will need to change the permissions using "chown" command of the non working files. You will need to google the use of chown, or man chown to work out its usage Keep a note of the original permissions so you can change them back if you get your chown command wrong ;-) Hope that help.
