Hi Richard,

I have seen this before, and it does sound like you have correctly pin pointed
the problem as being a file permission issue.

On Your Ubuntu box navigate into the rrd directory (on my Gentoo box its
/var/www/localhost/htdocs/jffnms/rrd/

Then list the files with the permissions, "ls -l" will work. Look at the
interfaces you have added recently (non working), and the original (working)
looking for the owner and group permissions. If they are different then you
will need to change the permissions using "chown" command of the non
working files. You will need to google the use of chown, or man chown to work
out its usage

Keep a note of the original permissions so you can change them back if you get
your chown command wrong ;-)

Hope that help.

Regards,

Mat.

Hi,

We recently
moved our JFFNMS DB from a Windows server to a Ubuntu box, however when we run
a query on the traffic for an interface we receive the error The RRDTool files
for Interface ID 1665 (from Host ID 139), has not been created by the Poller
Process yet – however if we run a query for utilization the graphing runs
fine.. It’s probably a file permission issue, however we have minimal experience
on Linux, any guidance would be greatly appreciated…

Regards
